Owner of Stoneridge Farm in Arundel, Maine, Fred Stone was the first farmer to expose the contamination by sewage sludge, aka biosolids, loaded with PFAS, of the aquifers in his region. It polluted the entire food chain, including his cows and the grass they eat. Today he is still waiting for compensation for the destruction of his entire dairy operation, and PFAS contamination has been detected across the USA and Europe. Some experts are already dubbing this crisis as the toxic catastrophe of the century. Unfortunately, it’s not going away anytime soon.
